Project Completed by On-site GeotechnicalProjects completed by On-site Geotechnical: Project 1 | Project 2 Our Lady Star of the Sea – Shoring Works to East ElevationEarly in 2005 we were contacted by a client who required temporary shoring supplied and erected to an unstable wall which formed part of a primary school in County Durham. The wall, 50 m long and 4 m high was bowing out in several places and looked ready to fall. The price was agreed on Friday morning and by Friday afternoon, plant and materials were being transported to the site. The OSG erection team worked through Saturday and Sunday ready for the school re-opening on Monday morning. The materials employed included 17 no. 2½ Tonne certificated Kentledge blocks used for counter balancing and 18 Tonnes of proprietary shoring. The OSG erection team proved to be a truly Rapid Reaction Force!!! |
